Is fighting such as (MMA) in your backyard illegal?
Are there any state laws in California for fighting with in your own backyard? I don't mean going at it with baseball bats or other weapons, but I mean two guysgetting together and doing "sparring" sessions with gloves, mouthpieces, etc
yep its called assault, covers a lot of crap. also disturbing the piece. it depends how much of a pain your neighbors are going to be about it
regardless of there being a law or not. there is a reason why these places have insurance and are incorporated. if someone gets injured, you or the owner of the property could loose everything you both own, in a lawsuit.
and them signing a waver wont protect you from the lawsuit.
edit:> defender of justice. in an assault case both parties get arrest regardless if they agree or not. i forget the exact term they use for it. but agree to a fight does not make it legal

btw if a waiver was all it took then the mma promoters would not need insurance.
