What type of snowboard, binding, and boot setup should I get?
I'm 6'2", 205LB, with a size 14 foot, and been snowboarding for 4 years. I bought an LTD board and LTD bindings in my first year and have been updating my boots according to my shoe size since. I have size 12 boots right now, and that is the limit for my LTD bindings and board. I'm looking to get a new set but I'm not quite sure what I should be looking for. Any suggestions?
my first suggestion is to stay away from ltd and other brands like it: lamar,sims,morrow, 5150
they are low end junk
for boards check out: Lib Tech, GNU, Never Summer, Capita, Signal, Rome
for bindings the choice is easy: Union. nobody makes bindings like union and i do not recommend anything else as they are not up to the same standards as unions. unions are the lightest and the most durable bindings out there
there are a lot of options for boots but i would go with these brands: DC, Thirty Two, Rome
you should be able to find some in your size. I use size 14's and i usually have no problem finding any unless i'm buying at the end of the season
