right board and flex?
Im looking to get a new snowboard. I started last year and tried some of the easy stuff in the park.. some boxes and jumps. i had a stiff and heavy burton supermodel board. This year I want to get really good at buttering and flatland tricks..along with more boxes and jibing. When looking at boards..should i be interested in lots of flex since im mainly interested in flatland tricks? and if so, what exactly in the downside of having lots of flex? I was looking at the ride dh and society and if anyone has any suggestions for any board...i would appreciate it! thanks
what about the rome slash board.. how is that for what im looking for??
If you want to look into flatland tricks...you will want a really flexible board. You may want to look into reverse camber boards cause they butter like nothing. The downside to having a really soft board is going at fast speed you may feel your board chatter. Also a very flexible board won't have as much "pop"...ride dh is a good board not extremely soft so you can still mess around. I also suggest the Rome Graft and if you want to get a reverse camber check out the rome postermania
EDIT. Yeah the Rome Slash is a good board. It's not the softest board on Rome's line but it's still plenty soft and can still ride the whole mountain.
