Where is that one snorkeling/diving place that has an underwater landscape?
I think it's somewhere in Europe or something...
Anyways, it's supposed to be this valley of some sort. Or something. And during a certain season, the glaciers will melt and the water level will rise in the area. So everything will be covered in water. All the existing trees and shrubbery and grasses that grew there previously are still there, just now covered in water. It's really beautiful. This place only exists certain times year round. It's not always there because the water levels here will rise or fall. What is this place?
I read about this over a year ago in a diving magazine and I was amazed by it too!
Indeed, I did a little searching for your question and am happy to give you the answer.
It is in Austria, and is a place called Grüner See, which means Green Lake. It floods for a few months every year and is possible to dive in it. I remember seeing park benches and park pathways all through the article and it would be a great place to visit someday.
