Navy Medium

Is there a height requirement for Navy Seals, Marines, Rangers, Special Forces, etcetera?

I would like to become, if time needed, a part of one of these elite forces. I understand that the tests to even become military wether it is Navy, Army, Air force, Marines are grueling however I have confidence in my body and mind. If I am lucky enough to qualify, is there a scientific bar for vertically challenged people. I am 5' 6'' and have medium build, would there be a problem written law or bylaw that I would be barred from these institutions?

There really isn't a height requirement. If you can cut it, if you meet the physical and mental requirements and pass the various training, which isn't easy, then you can do it.

Many people have this misconception of a majority of SOF being 6'0 blood ravaging cage fighters. Some of the best door kickers I know are under 5'9. In fact, I know a guy who is 5'5 and is absolutely a machine.

To give an example on the wide range of heights... The shortest guy on our team is a 5'5 skinny Mexican-American, we call him 'Rhen'. The tallest guy on our team is a 6'6 Samoan that is built like freight train and could probably leave you bleeding internally just by looking at you. We call him 'The great Samoan Warrior'.
