How do you leave one color alone and the rest black in white in a picture using gimp 2?
How do you leave one color alone and the rest black in white in a picture using gimp 2? Could someone explain how to do it, or send a tutorial? Thanks 
This is a very common question.
Open your image in GIMP. Go to the tool bar and select Color. Desaturate the image. That will turn it black and white. Save this as a new image and close it.
Open up the colored version of your image again. Now go to File and choose open as new layer. Find your black and white image open it. The black and white image will open over the colored version.
Use the eraser tool to erase the portion of the black and white image you want to show through.
