What type of ski, boot and pole size should i get?
I am 4'11", 95 pounds and shoe size 6-6 1/2...i am buying new ski equipment and do not know what size ski, ski boot or pole size i should be buying
Go to a Pro Ski shop and try on different brands of boots and spend at least a couple of hours in them to find an exact fit. Add foot beds and get checked for cants and ramp/delta. This is the most important part of the package.
You are light weight and not too tall so you need a pair of skis that are soft to medium flex that reach between your chin and the top of your head. Depending on what your skill level is, you may want to choose a medium performance ski that is forgiving to your skills. Avoid a beginner ski for purchase, and any High Performance ski until you know you are a skilled skier.
Your Ski Poles should be held inverted in your hand and the basket above your thumb. When the handle is on the floor your elbow should be at a right angle. If you buy them long, they can be trimmed to fit you.
Brand is less important than fit and flex in your case. If you are still growing, then the skis and poles could be a little longer for the first season.
