Snorkeling requires no special training this is perhaps one of the reasons why snorkeling has been one of the most popular water recreational activity.
All you need to have is the ability to swim and to breathe through the snorkel. Although most snorkeling tours would include an inflatable vest, which are usually bright yellow or orange, so the non-swimmers too can snorkel.
