Extreme fear of water spiders (and all other spiders, too)?
Okay, so I', REALLY scared of spiders, especially big ones. At my grandparents' New Hampshire lake house, we have MONGO water spiders. We also have a floating "raft" that you can swim out to and jump off. (The raft is anchored to the bottom with a couple cinderblocks and some chain.) Recently, I brought friends up there. We were on the raft, and this HUGE spider comes out. That was the biggest one we saw out there, but we also saw many others in varying sizes. They also live under the dock and climb in our Towable Tube. I did some research, and found that not only can they walk on water, but they LIVE under it, too!!! That totally creeped me out, and I'm scared to go swimming. Can somebody PLEASE help?!?! I'd really like to spend time in the water. If you have advice, please tell me and I'll take it willingly. I don't care if you call me crazy, just be nice about it. Thanks for the help!!! 
Growing up on the edge of wilderness, my favorite swimming hole
was plagued with a massive number of water spiders.
and yes, they can live underwater.
In spite of the number of spiders, we really had very few bites.
The best thing to do is just ignore the spiders. they will make
every effort to get away from you. size doesn't matter.
although a bite may sting a bit (like an ant sting) they are not
any worse than mosquito bites. we had spider wasps that were
after the spiders, and they were worse, just like yellow jackets.
now those hurt.
Don't let the spiders keep you from having a good time.
you can just brush the spiders back off into the water.
