Can someone please help me identify an old vintage baseball bat I have from early 1900s?
I have a 34 1/2 inch Wilson baseball bat with "Dave Robertson" burned on it in block letter. Also burned on the bat is "W510". There are initials hand carved on the bottom of the knob that looks like something "R", or possibly "DR" or something else but the "R" is very clear. It's definitely authentic and used. Circa no later than the 1930's. It is not cracked. Dave Robertson played for the New York Giants, The Cubs and The Pirates between 1912 and 1922. Does anyone know if this is a game bat? And what that "W510" means?
